Description
The Sundown Audio XV412D1 12 Subwoofer is built for listeners who want serious low-end performance, reliable power handling, and refined control in a high-output car audio system. Designed with competition-level engineering in mind, this 12-inch subwoofer delivers 3000W RMS and peaks at 6000W, making it well suited for demanding daily setups as well as SPL builds.
At the heart of the XV412D1 is Sundown Audio’s Xv4 dual 1-ohm voice coil design, which provides flexible wiring options and efficient system integration. Its 30mm Xmax supports deep cone movement for powerful bass reproduction with minimal distortion, helping the sub maintain clarity even at high volume. The result is bass that feels strong, accurate, and controlled.
Durability is another key strength. The reinforced cone, heavy-duty motor assembly, and optimized cooling system are engineered to handle extended high-power use while reducing heat buildup. With a motor diameter of 9.25 inches, the subwoofer is built to perform consistently under pressure, making it a dependable choice for serious audio enthusiasts.
Technical specifications further support its versatility. A sensitivity rating of 83.47 dB, RE of 2.05 ohms, and an FS of 39.39 Hz help provide a solid foundation for accurate system tuning. For best results, Sundown Audio recommends a 2.5 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to 32 Hz with 40 square inches of port area, allowing the XV412D1 to produce deep, resonant bass with authority.
With a mounting depth of 11.75 inches and a cutout diameter of 11.09 inches, this subwoofer fits a wide range of custom installations. For builders seeking a high-output 12-inch subwoofer that combines power, precision, and long-term reliability, the Sundown Audio XV412D1 stands out as a compelling choice.
