Description
The Sundown Audio SA Classic 12” D2 Subwoofer is built for listeners who want serious bass performance without sacrificing clarity or control. Designed for automotive sound systems and high-demand audio setups, this 12-inch subwoofer delivers 1000 watts RMS power handling and 2000 watts peak power, creating deep, authoritative low end that brings music to life.
At the heart of the SA Classic is a dual 2-ohm voice coil design paired with high-temperature materials for dependable performance during extended listening sessions. Its low-distortion motor system and large aluminum Faraday ring help maintain clean, accurate bass response, even at higher output levels. The result is a subwoofer that produces strong impact while preserving detail and tonal balance.
Versatility is another major strength. The SA Classic performs well in sealed, ported, and band-pass enclosure designs, making it easier to tailor the sound to your system goals. With 83.21 dB sensitivity and 19mm of excursion, it offers impressive output and controlled cone movement for rich, precise bass reproduction.
Durability is equally important in this Sundown Audio subwoofer. The high-strength cast aluminum frame adds structural stability, while the double-layer Nomex spider and high-foam surround support smooth, controlled motion under pressure. A competition-grade paper cone further enhances sound quality by delivering punchy, musical bass with excellent response.
Installation is straightforward thanks to spring-loaded terminals, stitched XL tinsel lead wires, and practical mounting dimensions. With a 6.5-inch mounting depth and an 11.125-inch cut-out diameter, the SA Classic integrates easily into many car audio builds.
For enthusiasts seeking a reliable 12” D2 subwoofer with powerful output, refined sound quality, and long-lasting construction, the Sundown Audio SA Classic is a strong choice that elevates any car audio experience.
