Description
The Denon AVR-S770H is an advanced 7.2 channel AV receiver designed to bring a truly immersive audio and video experience to the home. Offering 75 watts of power per channel, it can effectively drive a range of speaker configurations, including 7.2 and 5.2.2 setups with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. These audio technologies create multidimensional soundscapes by incorporating overhead effects, enriching the listening environment with spatial audio precision. Even without dedicated height speakers, features like Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization and DTS Neural:X upmixer enhance traditional surround sound, adding depth and realism to existing content.
Video capabilities on the AVR-S770H are engineered to keep pace with the latest display standards. The receiver supports 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz passthrough, allowing seamless compatibility with next-generation televisions and gaming monitors. HDMI inputs and outputs include eARC, ensuring high-fidelity audio can be sent back to compatible devices without compression. This unit also handles a broad array of HDR formats—HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, and Dynamic HDR—each contributing to brighter highlights, deeper contrast, and richer colors. These combined features provide stunning picture quality suitable for high-end home theaters and gaming setups.
Gamers in particular can benefit from the AVR-S770H’s support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Quick Frame Transport (QFT), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). These technologies work together to minimize display lag and screen tearing, delivering smoother gameplay across compatible graphics cards and consoles. This responsiveness enhances the overall experience, whether playing fast-paced action titles or immersive story-driven games.
The receiver’s strength extends beyond audiovisual performance through its built-in HEOS multi-room audio platform. This enables wireless streaming of music from popular services such as Spotify, Pandora, and TIDAL, controlled via Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, or Bluetooth. Users can effortlessly expand their listening environment by connecting other HEOS-enabled speakers or components in different rooms, creating a unified, high-resolution sound network throughout the home.
Setup and acoustic optimization are streamlined through Denon’s HD Setup Assistant and Audyssey Room Correction Suite. The Setup Assistant provides a step-by-step interface to simplify initial installation, while Audyssey’s digital room correction analyzes speaker placement and room acoustics to tailor the sound output to the unique environment. This results in balanced tonal quality, clear dialogue, and enhanced bass response, tailored precisely to the listening space.
Voice control enhances ease of use, with compatibility for Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, Google Assistant, and various home automation systems. This integration supports hands-free adjustment of volume, input switching, and playback, aligning with modern smart home ecosystems.
With powerful amplification, comprehensive 3D audio decoding, advanced video passthrough capabilities, and versatile wireless streaming, the Denon AVR-S770H delivers a complete solution for those seeking to elevate their home entertainment. It blends cutting-edge technology with user-friendly setup and control, making it a compelling choice for audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts looking for detailed sound, vivid visuals, and seamless connectivity.
