Description
The DD Audio 2508G-D4 is a high-performance 8-inch dual 4-ohm subwoofer built for listeners who want clean, powerful bass in a compact footprint. Designed with precision and durability in mind, it delivers 1200 watts RMS and 3600 watts peak power handling, making it a strong choice for custom car audio systems that demand both control and intensity.
This subwoofer stands out with its advanced cooling design. The aluminum two-stage heatsink and Free Flow Cooling technology help manage heat efficiently during long listening sessions, supporting consistent performance and improved reliability. Whether you enjoy deep low-end response at moderate volume or push your system harder, the 2508G-D4 is engineered to stay composed.
Its motor structure features a 7.0-inch magnet and 20mm top plate, creating the magnetic strength needed for responsive, accurate bass reproduction. The DD Audio ESP cast frame adds rigidity and reduces distortion, while the ironcloth double spider system helps maintain precise cone control during high-excursion movement. The result is bass that feels tight, articulate, and well-defined.
The cone assembly uses a carbon-fiber-loaded, non-pressed pulp design for a smart balance of strength and responsiveness. A hand-laid carbon fiber dust cap reinforces the cone while adding a refined finish, and the second-generation V-ROM surround supports smooth suspension behavior for cleaner output.
Installation is straightforward for custom builds, with an 8-inch mounting cutout and 6.69-inch mounting depth. It performs best in enclosures sized at 0.4 to 0.8 cubic feet sealed or 0.75 to 1.25 cubic feet ported, allowing users to tune the subwoofer for their preferred bass character.
With a resonant frequency of 42 Hz and well-balanced electrical and mechanical properties, the DD Audio 2508G-D4 offers an impressive mix of depth, precision, and durability for serious audio enthusiasts.
